The Holliston Police Department will be holding an Introductory Session of the RAD Program on August 26 at 6pm in the Training Room of the Police Department on Washington Street.
RAD or Rape Aggression Defense, is a self defense program for women only. The program combines situational awareness with real life defense tactics. It is not a martial arts program, but real-world tactics for all fitness levels and abilities. RAD is for women ages 16 and older, with many past RAD graduates being over age 65! The class is led by Officers Ciara Ryan and John Moore, who have been teaching the course for ten years.
The session on August 26 will be a talk and discussion about what the class entails, along with sign-ups for a 16 hour class to be held in October. All residents are invited to attend!
