What should I do if I see a police car behind me with its emergency
lights activated?
A
Pull over immediately and stop.
Do not look for a safer place to stop, the officer activated his lights
where he or she wanted you to stop. Stay
in your vehicle. If it is night
time, turn on your interior light and leave your hands on the steering wheel.
Do not begin searching for your license / registration or anything else
until the officer directs you to do so.
If after you pull over and stop, the officer drives past you and
continues on, be aware that other emergency vehicles may also be responding.
Check your mirrors!
